Have windows xp.
Clearing Temp files and history does not remove searches from one website called Local.com (yellow pages type of searches). Each time I go to look up some new business, it shows ALL the searches I've done before. List is getting quite long.

I just always go to tools and then internet options and then clear history. I'm sure if someone really wanted to find them he could but it at least clears them .

That won't work within the website itself. It will clear websites visited.
But when I go back to Local.com and type ina new search for example
Here's the way it's listed:

Type of business------------- (i type in dry cleaners)
Where located----------------(i type in the area code)

All the searches remain WITHIN the website as previous searches, even if clearing history.

Are you talking about autocomplete?

When it already puts a word you previously used in the box?

No Not talking about autocomplete. Within the website it shows all the previous serches that I have done in the past.

But I have a bigger problem with my slow starting computer now.

Fast Boot?

That sounds like maybe what I need. Can you tell me how to do it, when you have time.
I have started just leaving computer monitor on all night with screen saver and all is well. FAST! Even though a tech told me that was a bad idea.

It sounds like we have the same problems. I'm also looking for the same answer. Posted earlier in the week. My computer stays on all the time , and i've never had a problem. From time to time i will turn it off, but not often. It takes forever to turnon or off now. Sometimes as long as 5 minutes both ways.
